About the ceremony
This is a symbolic celebration, as is every other wedding offered to visitors in the Maldives, resorts included. Visitors cannot legally register a marriage here, regardless of religion. The certificate is a keepsake and does not create a legal marriage. Couples arrange the registration at home, usually in a short registry appointment, and celebrate with us. We explain it properly.
